Rick Sordelet

Personal Information
RICK SORDELET (Fight Director) 37 Broadway shows including Tarzan, Aida, The Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, Curtains, 110 in the Shade, Talk Radio, Titanic, Urinetown and soon The Little Mermaid, 42 productions world wide. He staged the fights for Cyrano at the Metropolitan Opera, The Royal Opera House and Les Arts in Valencia, Spain, and soon in Milan starring Placido Domingo. Rick staged the fights for King Lear at the Public starring Kevin Klein, Howard Katz starring Alfred Modina, Tall Grass, King Hedley ll and Two Trains Running at the Signature Theater. Rick will stage his 70th Romeo and Juliet for the Public this summer in the park directed by Michael Grief. He staged Titus Andronicus for The Shakespeare Theater in Washington DC directed by Gale Edwards and King Lear at the Goodman Theater directed by Robert Falls, starring Stacy Keech, Cymbaline at the Shakespeare Theater of New Jersey directed by Joe Discher. He was the Stunt Coordinator for the films The Game Plan starring Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Dan in Real Life starring Steve Carell, Juliet Binoche and Dane Cook He is the Stunt Coordinator for “Guiding Light,” and an Instructor for Yale School of Drama, The New School University, and The Neighborhood Playhouse, a company member of the Drama Department, Board member for the Shakespeare Festival of New Jersey and author of the play Buried Treasure. Married to actress Kathleen Kelly with three beautiful children, Kaelan, Christian and Collin.
