Phoebe Waller-Bridge is a multi-award-winning creative, garnering praise for her work as an actor, writer, creator and showrunner. A graduate of the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts, Waller-Bridge’s one-woman show Fleabag, which she wrote and performed, earned her an Olivier Award Nomination and a Critics' Circle Theatre Award for Most Promising Playwright, among other accolades. She also received a Special Commendation from the Susan Smith Blackburn Prize on behalf of the play. Fleabag was adapted into a critically acclaimed television series, and Waller-Bridge earned a BAFTA Television Award for Best Female Performance in a Comedy Program. Waller-Bridge also served as the writer and showrunner of the first season of the celebrated television series Killing Eve, which recently earned her an Emmy award nomination for Outstanding Writing of a Drama Series. Both Fleabag and Killing Eve were renewed for second seasons, which will premiere in 2019. Waller-Bridge will only serve as an Executive Producer on the second season of Killing Eve, due to her Fleabag commitments for season two. Notable television credits include Crashing, which was her screenwriting debut, and Broadchurch. On film, Waller-Bridge appeared as the first female droid in Solo: A Star Wars Story. In addition to Fleabag, Waller-Bridge's additional theatre credits include: The One (Soho Theatre), Mydidae (Trafalgar Studios), Hay Fever (West End), Tribes (Royal Court), Rope (Almeida), 2nd May 1997 (Bush Theatre, for which she earned an Evening Standard Theater Award Nomination in the category of Best Newcomer), Like a Fishbone (Bush Theatre), Sixty-Six Books (Bush Theatre) and Roaring Trade (Soho Theatre). Waller-Bridge is also co-artistic director of DryWrite Theatre Company.
