Christopher Shinn

Personal Information
Christopher Shinn was born in Hartford and lives in New York. His plays include Four, Where Do We Live, What Didn't Happen, The Coming World, On the Mountain, Other People and Dying City. They have been produced at Playwrights Horizons, Vineyard Theatre, Royal Court Theatre, Manhattan Theatre Club, South Coast Rep, Lincoln Center, and Soho Theatre.

He is a winner of an Obie in Playwriting and a Guggenheim Fellowship in Playwriting. He has received grants from the NEA/TCG Residency Program, the Ovid Foundation, and the Peter S. Reed Foundation, and he is a recipient of the Robert S. Chesley Award.

His plays are available in collections from TCG and Methuen.

He teaches playwriting at the New School for Drama.
