Personal Information
Jenny Schwartz’s plays include Iowa, God’s Ear, Somewhere Fun, 41-derful, and Cause For Alarm. With Todd Almond, she received the Frederick Loewe Award for the development of Iowa. Other awards include the American Academy of Arts and Letters’ Benjamin H. Danks Award, a Kesselring honor, two grants from Lincoln Center’s Lecomte Du Nuoy Foundation, two residencies with the Sundance Theatre Institute, and Soho Rep’s Dorothy Streslin Fellowship. God's Ear and Somewhere Fun were finalists for the Susan Smith Blackburn Award. Alum of Juilliard and New Dramatists; affiliated artist at Clubbed Thumb and New Georges; co-chair of the Soho Rep Writer/Director Lab.
