Wendy Seyb created the choreography
for the award winning show The
Toxic Avenger
Musical that started its journey
at the George Street Playhouse.
Toxic subsequently enjoyed a
successful Off-Broadway run at New
World Stages and spawned an
international production in Toronto.
Toxic received the 2009 Outer
Critics Circle Award for Best Musical
and Wendy was nominated for
the Joe A. Callaway Award for Best
Choreography for the Off-Broadway
production of Toxic.

Theater). Her choreography has also
been seen in the New York Musical
Theatre Festival, The New
York International Fringe Festival,
the A-Train Plays and the workshop of
the theatrical event Cheer
with Richard Frankel Productions.
Wendy Seyb’s original dance comedies,
including the full-length School
Daze, have been presented at
esteemed New York venues such as Dance
Theater Workshop, Joyce SoHo, The Flea
Theater, 37
ARTS, HERE Arts Center, The Zipper
Theater, St. Mark’s Church, The Duke
Theater and the Ailey
Citigroup Theater. In 2007 and 2008
Wendy co-created and co-hosted
Freshly Tossed, an evening
of new and innovative dance comedy
choreography from a range of dance
artists that was presented by
the New York Music Theater Festival.
Wendy is proud to have contributed
choreography to many prestigious
events including: the Lincoln Center
Theater Directors Lab, DanceBreak and
the Dancers Responding to AIDS Gala
hosted by Bill T. Jones. In 2006,
Wendy was the recipient of a Stage
Directors and Choreographers
Foundation Observership
where she worked under the tutelage of
Kathleen Marshall as she mounted the
Tony Award-winning
Broadway revival of The Pajama
Game. Wendy received the 2007
Golden Nose Award for her
dance comedy Super Novas and
was a 2007 nominee for the New York
Innovative Theatre Award
for Best Choreography/Movement for her
work on the physical play The Great
Conjurer.
