Personal Information
Linda Emond most recently appeared as “The Homebody” in the premiere of Tony Kushner’s Homebody/Kabul, a role on which she was honored to work with Mr. Kushner over the course of three years. She made her New York debut at Manhattan Theater Club in Nine Armenians for which she received a Drama Desk nomination. Her work on stage also includes the Broadway revival of 1776 and the premieres of Craig Lucas’s The Dying Gaul (Vineyard), Kander & Ebb’s Over & Over (Signature), Peter Hedges’s Baby Anger (Playwrights Horizons), and A.R. Gurney’s Far East (Williamstown), as well as his Ancestral Voices (Lincoln Center) and the American premiere of An Experiment With An Air-Pump. (MTC) For her work in Chicago, she received five Jefferson nominations for Best Actress; she won it twice for her work in Pygmalion and The Winter’s Tale. Recent television includes The Sopranos, Law & Order, Third Watch and Wonderland. Recent film includes Almost Salinas, A Gentleman’s Game, and City By the Sea.
